Task1

This post focuses on the initial application design and conceptualization phase for the Naraka game, which is a large-scale competitive game with many kinds of players around the world, and this post does the most basic user experience and user interface.

For an initial survey of some of the players, the players’ ideas were divided into eight quick sketches represented on a single sheet of paper:

Competitor Research

Research on competitors includes research on all game programs, research on similar games, and research on game apps,At the same time, for the user interface and user experience, make relevant surveys to ensure that it meets the habits of the majority of users.:

  • All buttons are clearly labeled
  • Can be used by everyone (including text, font size, etc.)
  • Can complete simple in-game related operations, such as charging money, checking store information, checking event information, etc.
  • Can be more convenient to see some event information or Game news

For a view of other game apps (competitors) learn some basic information:

  • you can view historical game data
  • you can view the store
  • you can add friends within the app

Personas/Intended

As a public beta opened in North America on November 3, 2020, and officially launched in 2021, a large-scale tps competitive game made against the background of the world after the ancient gods, now more than ten languages can be switched within the game, and the players have gone from the country to the whole world, and for the player’s user survey, a summary of the player’s relevant information and user needs has been made with figma.(link at the end of this article)

Mood Boards

The following mood board is made up of in-game character posters and in-game icons. This mood board showcases the game’s ink and watercolor style and serves as the basis for the next text choices.

Colour and Style

For the choice of colors, red and black were finally chosen. After studying the needs of users and the Naraka game, the two most important colors in the game logo were extracted as the main colors, and white was used as the font color, which is more obvious.

In the font selection, three fonts were used: Knewave, Irish Grover, and inter. The two fonts, Knewave and Irish Grover, resemble the traces of brushes brushed over paper, which is very consistent with the ancient worldview of Naraka, and inter, as the most common font, will be more obvious when used as a label in some obvious places.(link at the end of this article)

Mission Statement
