Develop responsive user interfaces (UI) that meet user needs and deliver a valuable user experience (UX).The medium fidelity prototype will include a call to action design and companion app on the starter.
Mid-Fidelity Layouts
Here are the figma prototypes for post1 and post2, call-to-action buttons can now be interacted with using Figma. Please watch the video below of the website and companion application in action:
Principles of interaction design include:
- User-centred: think from the user’s perspective and understand needs and habits.
- Simplicity and clarity: remove redundant elements, highlight the core content, and provide a clear visual hierarchy.
- Easy to operate: Focus on the user’s operation process, provide intuitive and natural operation.
- Consistency: Keep the interface elements consistent and improve user predictability.
UI design concepts include:
- User first: UI design should be centred on user needs and experience.
- Simplicity and clarity: the interface should be simple and clear, avoiding too many complex elements.
- Consistency: maintain consistency of interface elements to improve user predictability.
- Intuitive and easy to use: the design should be intuitive to the user and reduce learning costs.
- Aesthetics and brand image: UI design should focus on aesthetics while being consistent with the brand image.
Responsive design: adapt to different devices and screen sizes.
UX design concept include:
- User-Centered Design (UCD):Always take the user’s needs, goals and behaviours as the starting point, and design not for coolness, but for good use.
- Ease of use first (Usability First):The interface should be clear, simple and easy to understand. Users don’t need to spend time ‘learning’ how to use it.
- Consistency:Maintain a uniform style and interaction logic between different pages and modules to reduce learning costs.
- Accessibility:The design should take into account users at different levels of ability, including those with visual, hearing or mobility impairments.
- Feedback Mechanism:User actions should be immediately responded to by the system, e.g. loading prompts, success/error messages.
- Minimise Cognitive Load:Minimise what the user needs to think about, e.g. through visual guidance, process disassembly, etc.
- Emotional Design:It’s not just about functionality, it’s also about user emotions, increasing pleasure and brand favouritism.
- Data Driven & Continuous Optimisation:UX is not a one-off solution, it needs to be continuously iterated through data and user feedback.
