This blog post will explore the principles of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) aimed at creating a website and accompanying application for a selected music festival. The festival I have chosen is the glastonbury festival which was founded in 1970 and is now the largest open air music and performing arts festival in the world, Glastonbury is also a town with a long history and has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. Held annually from June 24-28 at Worthy Farm in Glastonbury, England, the music is based on pop-rock, loved by the locals, but due to the 2012 London Olympics will be held at that time, which may lead to a demand for temporary toilets far in excess of the capacity and 2020, taking into account the COVID-19 outbreak, which has halted the festival for the past two years, glastonbury festival has emerged as a huge asset to the city and indeed the country, with the Glastonbury Festival contributing over £100 million to the UK economy each year, and with the majority of the staff being volunteers, volunteering their time to contribute to the festival.
I have also collected information about Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF), Leeds festival, etc., and summarized some of the problems and impacts of music festivals in the UK as summarized by the users who have attended the festivals before; music festivals are the cultural calling cards of a region or even a country, and respond to the influence of various cultures on each other. Music festivals are the cultural card of a region or even a country, reflecting the differences and advantages between cultures. In the UK, there are no less than ten music festivals every year, with a wide range of music styles, which can fully satisfy the needs of musicians for various kinds of music.
At the same time, the problems are also very obvious, I used the user reviews of glastonbury festival and LIMF, there are a lot of problems are also obvious, traffic jam, geographical location (glastonbury festival), when a large number of people in a short period of time into a large number of people, it is difficult to maintain the basic order of the traffic, resulting in traffic paralysis; housing problems, because of the Housing problems, because of the influx of large crowds, can not do hotels can be provided perfectly, resulting in demand exceeds supply, many people choose to camp in the venue, which will further deepen the traffic problem, while the field after the garbage generated by the problem is not guaranteed, while the ticketing site in the mobile interface and computer interface of the different, which will lead to some of the loss of information.
In order to have a more intuitive feeling of the user’s process and the solution to the problem, I made (HTA), user journey map and other related flow charts.Afterwards, I made a simple program for users to use in order to extract data and further improve the adaptability of the website and software. I made the website and the software very adaptable to minimize the transition between the website and the software, and changed the settings to be more compatible with people of all ages and countries, mainly including: font size settings, brightness settings, and language settings.

This blog post will explore the principles of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) with the aim of creating a website and accompanying application for a selected music festival.
The Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts held near Pilton, Somerset, England, in most summers. In addition to contemporary music, the festival hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts.

There is a great deal of crossover between the organisers’ problem space and the needs and requirements of festival participants, see below for some of these requirements:

Browse through previous user reviews of Glastonbury festival and make improvements and enhancements to the known issues: the artists don’t seem to be strategically placed across the stages, heavy traffic.the problem of too many people at the scene. These are all factors that must be considered to create a good user experience.
- Efficient- More efficient traffic management so that visitors can access the site more easily.
- Expand the floor space- Expand the size of the car park so that more people who drive themselves can have a place to park.
- Concise- A simpler and clearer software design to help people of all ages buy tickets and find information.
- Learnability- Dedicated buttons to teach you how to use the software to help people use it better.
- Clear message – The software has good map information and you can choose whether or not to buy a ticket by distance.
Combining a website and an app, the website is used to view ticketing information, location and prices, and to introduce all the festival’s content in an introductory way, which attracts visitors, while the software is more about the details of ticketing [ticketing levels, e.g. distance from the stage determines the price of the ticket], the e-ticket after purchasing the ticket, the instructions for accessing the venue, and the requirements of each.
